Every AI answer Recited has captured, stored as a chat you can open, filter, and audit.
Every answer is kept
Recited never shows you a number without the answer behind it. Every scan of every prompt on every platform is stored as a chat. Answers > Answer log is where they all live: one row per prompt and platform answer.
Reading a chat
Open a row to read the answer exactly as it was captured, rendered with its formatting, tables, and links. Alongside the text you see:
- Mentions: where your brand and competitors appear in the answer.
- Sources: every page the answer cited, with its domain. This is the raw material behind the Citations pages.
- Features: what the platform did while answering, such as running a live web search, showing a shopping block or map, or including an ad.
On ChatGPT, answers are captured from the real consumer app, so what you read includes the product blocks and sponsored placements a customer would actually see.
Filtering the log
The log filters client-side, so every change is instant:
- Platform: only answers from selected platforms.
- Brand: only answers mentioning selected brands. Filtering to a competitor is a fast way to read how AI talks about them.
- Feature: answers that ran a web search, showed ads or shopping results, included a table or map, or used no features at all.
- Source: answers citing a given domain. Combine with the brand filter to see which sources drive a competitor's mentions.
- Date range: any window of your scan history.
Why the log matters
Three practical uses come up constantly:
- Trust but verify. When a metric surprises you, open the answers behind it. A visibility drop is much less mysterious once you read the two answers that stopped mentioning you.
- Learn the language. AI answers describe your category in particular phrases. Content written in that language gets cited more readily. See writing articles.
- Catch wrong claims. If an answer states something false about your product, the source list shows which page the claim likely came from, which tells you where a correction would help.
Where else answers appear
The newest answers also surface on the Overview page under Latest answers, and each prompt's detail page shows only that prompt's chats. It is all the same log, scoped differently.
