Community threads

Join the threads the engines already quote

AI assistants read Reddit and forums to decide what to recommend. When an answer cites a thread that names your competitors and not you, you get the thread and a reply that answers the question first.

Part of the growth engine. Included on every plan.

What analytics do you actually use for a Shopify store? GA4 feels like overkill.

Top comment recommends Triple Whale and a spreadsheet. Nobody mentions you.

GA4 does the job if you only need sessions and conversions. Where it falls over is revenue by channel once you run more than two ad accounts, because you end up rebuilding attribution in a sheet. That is the gap the paid tools fill. I work on Northlane, so take that with a grain of salt, but the honest answer is: start with GA4, switch when the sheet breaks.

You post it. We never write to Reddit for you.

How it works

Thread, rivals, reply

Three steps from an answer you are missing from to a comment that puts you in the conversation.

01

An answer cites a thread

AI assistants lean on Reddit and forums for anything opinion-shaped: which tool people actually use, what to avoid, what is worth paying for. The scan keeps every thread they cite.

02

The thread names your rivals

A thread only becomes an opportunity when it is cited in answers where your competitors are named and you are not. That is the conversation the engines are reading about your category.

03

You get the thread and a reply

The card shows the thread, who is cited alongside it and the prompts it answers, with a reply drafted to the question the thread actually asks. Post it from your own account, then mark the card done.

Detection

Threads found from the answers, not from keywords

There is no subreddit to configure and no search term to guess. A thread appears because an engine quoted it while recommending someone else. That makes the list short, current and hard to argue with.

  • Reddit, Quora, Hacker News, Stack Exchange and any forum the engines cite
  • Threads scored on how often they are cited and by how many engines
  • Slots held on the board so publisher pages do not bury them

The reply

Written to be useful, with your name second

Replies answer the question first, in the register of the thread, and mention you only where it genuinely helps the asker, with a plain note that you work on the product. That is what survives moderators and what the engines end up quoting.

  • 80 to 180 words, plain text, the asker's question answered first
  • Even-handed about the competitors named in the thread
  • Written to read like a person, checked against the same rules as our articles

The board

Next to everything else worth doing

Threads sit on the same board as articles, listings and outreach, scored the same way, so joining a conversation is weighed against writing a page rather than living in a separate tool nobody opens.

  • New, planned and done with the rest of the work
  • Add your own instructions before the reply is drafted
  • The next scan shows whether the thread now cites you

The rules

Built not to be spam

Communities are the last place a shortcut works. The engine is designed around that.

Never posted for you

Recited AI reads threads. It does not comment, vote, message or post. Every reply is a draft you post from your own account, which is also what keeps you on the right side of every community's rules.

No spray and pray

A handful of cited threads per scan, not a feed of every mention of your category. If the engines are not quoting a thread, it is not on the board.

Honest by design

The draft names you as someone who works on the product and stays fair about the other tools in the thread. Disguised promotion is exactly what gets removed and what the engines learn to ignore.

Grounded in the thread

The reply is written from the thread title, the answers that cited it and, where the platform allows it, the post and top comments. It does not invent details about a conversation it could not read.

See which threads are recommending your rivals

Run a scan and the cited threads land on your board, each with the answers that quoted it.
